If red blood cells are placed in an hypotonic solution what happens?

    Hypotonic means low that isotonic concentration of salt in the solution. the salt will go inside the cell and make them bigger

    while in hypertonic the water from the cell will be drained to the solution and make cell shrink (decrease in size).
