Due to global warming, some tree species bud and develop fruits earlier in the spring than before. In response, some bird populations that migrate to reach this food source start their spring migrations earlier in the year. How might a gradual climate change cause a population of birds to stop migrating altogether?

It may make birds confused as to when the food source will be there, so they stop visiting because the food source isn't there when they thought it was going to be. So I think they would stop migrating because of confusion mainly.
