Stem cells are very beneficial. They are used as renewable sources of replacement cells and tissues. They can also cure serious diseases without the need of surgery, which will benefit many people.

The hope going forward is that stem cells can also be used as a "renewable source of replacement cells and tissues" to treat common and serious diseases without the need for organ transplants or surgeries
