What is skepticism?

Skepticism is the theory that certain knowledge is impossible.

Methological doubt about the nature of reality. Many thinks of Descartes, who questioned the existence of everything, and tried to come up with things he could know for certain. He came to the conclusion that the mere fact that he was being skeptic was proof enough of his existence.
