Answer Inside cytoplam of a cell an organelle is present which is responsible for storage of extra water in cytoplam. this organelle is known as vacoule. In plant cell the size of vacoule is larger as compared to animal cell and is located on one side of the nucleus. Under hypotonic condition water get enter into cell and extra water is stored in vacoule that develop turgor pressure which is exerted on the cell wall.
