I think an example would be, Humans are larger than they were 100 years ago. This is not a genetic characteristic. Phenotype is the composite of an organism's observable characteristics or traits, such as its morphology, development, biochemical or physiological properties, behavior and products of behavior. The Genotype on the other hand is the genetic make up of an organism.
