The right answer is ionic bound.

Ion bonding is a particular type of chemical bond. Ionic bonds can form between ions of opposite signs. There are no pure ionic bonds. They are generally associated with a certain degree of covalent bonds.

For example, the cooking salt is sodium chloride (NaCl). When sodium (Na) reacts with chlorine (chlorine gas, Cl2), the sodium atoms lose an electron and the chlorine atoms gain an electron (the dichlor molecule is first dissociated). The ions combine in a 1: 1 ratio to form the cooking salt (Na +, Cl-).
