    Binary fission

    Plant cross breeding

    Explanation:

Vertical gene transfer is the transfer or movement of genetic materials including genetic mutations from parents to their offspring. Vertical gene transfer could be by sexual or asexual reproduction.

Vertical gene transfer is usually applied in plant breeding. Two plants (parents) with different genes can be crossbred to form other plants carrying the genes. For example a transgenic plant that has herbicide resistance gene can be crossed with a non transgenic plant to form a new plant that could be herbicide resistant.

So also vertical gene transfer can be found in bacteria binary fission, where the bacteria duplicates its DNA to form two bacteria having each copy of the DNA
