The big idea here is to understand the differences between the two types of cell division in your body; mitosis and meiosis.
Mitosis is for growth and repair of cells in your body. You get 2 new identical cells each with 46 chromosomes.
Meiosis is for making sex cells; sperm and egg. You get 4 non-identical cells each with 23 chromosomes.
