Answer: Fungi obtain food by decomposing anything that is organic in nature. Fungi live everywhere. They grow best in warm, moist places, In either case, the fungi secrete enzymes that allow digestion outside the fungal body.

Fungi are microorganisms that perform an important role in the decomposition of organic matter ... Fungi live in moist environments because it is where they reproduce best. Due to their simple vasculature system they need to grow in places that are moist and dumpy.
