It is called Cross beds. Cross beds are group of inclined laters which are formed during the deposition on the inclined surfaces such as dunes and means that there is a flowing medium in its depositional environment. When the depositional environment has sand, water removes it or any weathering factors that can result in the tranformation of sediments.
