Why does red and blue light support the highest rates of photosynthesis?

    Anything except for green support high rate of photosynthesis. green is the color of chlorophyll, the organelle which absorb the light for photosynthesis. since it's green, it reflects green and absorbs all other color. hence why most plants are green.
