    This is due to the fact that the molecules of water and gas are lighter and less densely packed. They can slide past each other and move around easily. These particles can take whatever shape they are kept on.

    Out of gases and liquids, the molecules of gas are less densely packed and flow freely. They are also easy to compress than a solid or liquid. Meanwhile, solid matters have its own shape, its molecules are tightly locked with one another which is much harder to compress.
