    Explanation:

    heat sink reffers to the device that is a that transfers the heat generated by an electronic or a mechanical device to a medium of fluid. The fluid medium could be liquid coolant it air means, it works by conveying away heat from the device so that the device's temperature is regulated. It is usually made from aluminium or copper.

    Heat sink is very useful in transferring heat away from the CPUs and GPUs of a computer as well as the RAM modules. It is designed for maximum contact with surface area of the cooling medium that is surrounding it. some of the factors that affect heat sink are, the material choice and air velocity.

    There two types of heat sink which are;

    1) Passive heat sink

    2) Active heat Sink
