    Infectious diseases can be described as diseases which are caused by infectious organisms like bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites. Infectious diseases might have the ability to spread from one organism to another. If infectious diseases spread from one organism to another, then they are known as contagious. For example, AIDS is a syndrome caused by HIV (which is a virus) and it can be transferred through blood transfer or sexual contacts.
