Would you expect a cactus to have more or less stomata than a tropical plant? why?

    Less stomata because stomata is the pathway through which water transpires. A cactus' habitat is much drier than normal tropical plants, therefore it would require less transpiration to survive. In order to lessen transpiration, they have less stomata.
