What's the difference between diploid and haploid cells?

    Diploid is the full number. Haploid is half, the way I remember, is Haploid sounds like half.

    Haploid cells have half the normal amount of chromosomes, these are the sex cells/gametes

    Diploid cells have the full amount of chromosomes, these are the body/somatic cells
