    Many predator species have cyclic populations: when their prey is plentiful, they have many offspring; the rise in predator population brings down the prey population; and so many of the predators starve.

    - Homo sapiens have seen population growth faster than exponential. (Exponential means constant doubling time. Human population has seen doubling time fall)
