    Answer is: producers.

Producers (autotrophs) make the food for the rest of this groups. Producers get energy from the sun and in reaction with water (photosynthesis) convert it into useable energy in the form of organic matter (sugar). For example plants and algaes are producers.

In order to support all of the organisms in an ecosystem, decomposers should have the greatest amount of biomass. The are the organisms that keep up the natural balance by breaking down decaying organisms. This process is called decomposition and it plays the most important role in the nutrient cycle as it is also responsible for recycling the matter which occupies space in the biosphere. So, in order to function as needed, these organism should have the greatest amount of biomass.
