Which model correctly explains the meaning of 3' and 5' in nucleic acids?

    Nuceis acids are directional it can give the way because the two ends of the polymer are different. One end has a free phosphate group on a 5' carbon and the other has a free hydroxyl group bonded to a 3' carbon.
