How is the role of bacteria and the role of lightning similar?

    lightening breaks down the nitrogen molecules and provide a suitable environment to mix with oxygen (high temperature and pressure).

    When these mix with water, the nitric acids are obtained which dissolves in soil and plants can use those nitric acids for growth and development.

    Explanation:

    The role of bacteria in nitrogen cycle is it breaks down the protein content in dead plants and animals during decay process and ammonia is formed.

    Then the nitrifying bacteria causes nitrification which turns nitrogen into soluble nitrates that the plants can absorb.
