    Alcoholic fermentation:

Equation: glucose - - > ethanol + carbon dioxide + little amount of energy

    Lactic fermentation:

    Equation : glucose - - - > lactic acid + little energy

Lactate fermentation occurs in the muscle whereas alcoholic fermentation occurs in yeast.

Lactate fermentation does not release carbon dioxide, while alcoholic fermentation does.
