Water regulates heat by taking it in during the day and releasing it at night. Heat has a part in weather so they have a part in if their is a drought or not.

Watershed is defined as the area of land from where all the streams and rainfall drains out to a common outlet such reservoir, bay's mouth. Watershed also known as drainage basin.

Watershed related to heat through water cycle i. e. heat of vaporization taking up the water in vapor state and through condensation losing heat in the form of rainfall, whereas, during drought period lower water levels in the streams and reservoirs affect the mainstream flow which led to reduction of water levels and can even impact the quality of water.
