Thermal energy is generated in Earth's core and mantle. Do you think this heat stays within those layers, or can it be transferred to Earth; s surface

    I don't think it can because isn't it like cooler under ground than above ground. also if this was true wouldn't we burn alive?

    It can be transferred to earth surface through volcanoes. there are other things but every one knows about volcanoes and how they used to spew magma all over the place so yes it can.
