Option B) the relative concentration of solutes in each compartment

    Explanation:

    Options for the question

    A) the temperature difference between compartments

    B) the relative concentration of solutes in each compartment

    C) the relative volume in each compartment

    D) the relative size of each compartment

    Solution -

Osmosis is a physical process in which two solutions are kept in two different chamber separated by selectively permeable membrane such that molecule of one solution starts flowing towards the molecule of other solution.

This net movement of molecules from one solution to other solution depend on the solute concentration of the two solutions.

The solute particles tends to move from chamber having solution with higher solute concentration towards the chamber having solution with lower solute concentration

Option B is the correct answer
