Two containers of Fast Plants® were grown for 17 days. On day 17, a dried bee was dragged through the flowers of the plants in container 2. Nothing was done to the plants in container 1. What will happen in the next few weeks?

Only the plants in container 1 will develop seeds.

Only the plants in container 2 will develop seeds.

Neither plant will develop seeds.

Both plants will develop seeds, but only seeds from plant 2 will be able to grow into new plants.

    Answer: Only the plants in container 2 will develop seeds.

    Explanation:

    Unlike container 1, the presence of a dried bee in container 2 indicate the action of a pollination agent i. e pollen grains has been exchanged with the Fast plants in container 2.

    Thus, there is a high chance of flowering to occur in only the Fast plants of container 2 followed by seed production.
