What is the term for side vision that is elicited by stimuli falling on retinal areas distant from the macula?

    The answer is peripheral vision. This type of vision of the eye lies outside of the central visual field and is responsible for being aware of objects with the side of the eyes while looking straight forward. It is the largest visual field of the eyes.
