The function of adrenergic receptors within blood vessels is to regulate circulation. Specifically, adrenergic receptors in the brain are necessary to allow the circulation which allows the delivery of oxygen to the brain. So, if Mios had fewer adrenergic receptors present in the blood vessels delivering blood to the head then the result would be an impairment of the body's ability to deliver oxygenated blood to the brain.
