    Energy is released from the bonds of glucose by cellular respiration. This process occurs all day, everyday in each of your cells. It converts glucose (non-useable energy) to ATP (or adenosine triphosphate) which is useable. There are two types of cellular respiration: aerobic and anaerobic. We will first explore the aerobic one. Aerobic means oxygen is required. This process is has some advantages against the anaerobic one which does not require oxygen. It produces more ATP (36 atp). It does not produce a harmful byproduct. Aerobic cellular respiration is composed of 4 stages: Glycolysis, pyruvate oxidation, the Krebs Cycle, and the Electron Transport chain plus can you osmosis
