A 14-year-old has just had a plaster cast placed on his lower left leg. to provide safe cast care, the nurse should: notify the health care provider (hcp) if the client feels heat. keep the child in the same position for 24 hours until the cast is dry. petal the cast as soon as it is put on. use only the palms of the hand when handling the cast.

    Since the kid is having a plaster cast on his lower left leg, the nurse should give good care by just using the palms of the hand when handling the cast. As the child is 14 year old which is growing years of the boy tender care should be given because bones might be fragile.
