    The glacier budget refers to the amount of ice available as a part of glacier, it is a balance between accumulation and ablation processes of ice in a glacier. The ablation of ice may be because of melting, sublimation and breaking of icebergs.

    The zone of accumulation: It is the region where accumulation exceeds melting.

    The zone of ablation: It is a region where the ablation exceeds accumulation.
