Decreased angle of insulation leads to the spread of sun ray over a bigger area.

    Explanation:

The angle in which the sun ray hit's the periphery of the Earth, it regulates the insulation. The insulation of sun ray varies with respect to time of the year and day along with the latitude.

As the angle reaches 90 degrees the insulation intensity increases and when there is an increase in the latitude the intensity decreases. The duration of insolation regulates the temperature of Earth's surface.
