Wastewater is treated with chlorine to kill bacteria. However, chlorine can be toxic to certain fish that live in the ocean. Why does this most likely add to the cost of cleaning water?

    Water muct have the chlorine removed before it can be dumped in the ocean-apx.

    Explanation:

    Chlorine is added to filtered wastewater, to treat and remove bacteria and disease-causing organisms that could harm living organisms. But the chlorine itself must be removed before the water can be recycled back into oceans, or it will harm aquatic life.
