In one sentence, what is the function of telomerase? Is it required in prokaryotes, eukaryotes or both?

    Telomerase is an enzyme which is responsible for elongation of telomeres by the addition of guanine rich repetitive sequences which prevent the chromosomes from been degraded. T

    Telomerase is not required in prokaryotes because most prokaryotes have circular chromosomes.
