    KE = (1/2) mv^2

    KE = (1/2) (600 kg) (12 m/s) ^2

    KE = (1/2) (600 kg) (144 m^2/s^2)

    KE = 43,200 kg*m^2/s^2 = 43,200 Joules

    The kinetic energy of the car is 43,200 Joules.
