The level of protein structure that is maintained after denaturation is the primary structure.

The secondary and the tertiary structure of proteins are usually destroyed during denaturation because the denaturation process undergo by the protein is normally powerful enough to break up the interactions that are holding the secondary and the tertiary structures of the protein in place.
