In these protein assays, the absorbance is plotted on the y-axis, while concentration is plotted on the x. If the equation of the line for your standard curve is y = 0.057x + 0.069 with an R^2 value of 0.9913, and your sample has an absorbance of 1.111, what is the concentration of your sample?

    18.28

    Explanation:

    Given:

    Relation between the absorbance (y) and the concentration (x) as;

    y = 0.057x + 0.069

    now,

    we have to calculate concentration (x) for the given value of absorbance (y) = 1.111

    thus, on substituting the value of y = 1.111 in the above relation, we get

    1.111 = 0.057x + 0.069

    or

    x = 18.28

    hence, the value of concentration of sample is 18.28
