    Answer: B. Increase pollution.

The scientific advancement is proved to be a boon for the human society by increasing the life expectancy and increase in new energy resources but with the advent of technology the increase in industrialization and use of automobiles on a large scale has resulted in the increased use of fossil fuels. The incomplete or partial combustion of the fossil fuel has resulted in the liberation of air contaminating gases like carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide and methane in large amount. Hence, has resulted in the air pollution.
