What is the role macromolecules play in relation to life on earth

    There are four types of macromolecule:

    1) Carbohydrate

    2) Protein

    3) Lipids

    4) Nucleic acids

    Carbohydrate: They store energy, provide fuel and they are main buliding structurein body, main source of energy, Structure of plant cell wall.

    Nucleic Acids: DNA and RNA are nucleic acid, they store and transfer information.

    Lipids: They store fats and energy. They are insulator.

    Protein: They generally provide structural support, transport, enzymes, movements and defense.

    So, these are the macromolecule which play important role in our life.
