Explanation

The water cycle starts the moment the sun heats the water collected on water bodies such as lakes and oceans to cause evaporation. The evaporating water rises to reach high atmospheric levels where it cools and condenses to form clouds. The clouds further become heavy to result into precipitation in form of rain. Rain water is collected in the various depressions on the ground and the cycle starts again.
