Eukaryotes have what are called "organelles" in membranes, and the Archaea do not have them.

Difference between domain eukarya and domain archae:

    Domain eukarya:

Organisms in eukarya domain are eukaryotic in nature. This means that these cells contain a nucleus and other cell organelles that are enclosed in membranes. These membranes offer a protective layer for the nucleus as well as the cell organelles.

    Domain archae:

Organisms in domain archaea contain prokaryotic cells. These prokaryotic cells are the ones that do not have membranes enclosing the nucleus as well as the cell organelles. These organisms are also usually single-cell organisms.
