    Explanation: Aerobic metabolism is the oxidative process of the generation of energy in form of ATP. Aerobic metabolism requires oxygen to convert fats to carbon dioxide and adenosine triphosphate (ATP). Anaerobic metabolic pathways can only burn the free fatty acids rapidly with little energy generated (only 2 molecules of ATP is generated) and leads the muscles strained in comparison with aerobic metabolism which generates 34 molecules.
