    Nucleic acids offer variability because they contain alternate forms of genes called alleles. Allele is actually one among several alternate form of same gene or of similar genetic nature. This alternate form of gene produces different effects on a character. Gene plays a vital role in building a person character wise. Normally it has been seen that the parental characters get transferred to the offspring via genes. So study of genetics plays an important part in the development of animals or plants in the modern world.
