Which best describes why it is important for a scientist to use the metric system when recording data?

    Because the metric system is used all over the world, as opposed to the system that the U. S. uses, which is only used in the states. if a scientist used that system, scientists reading the recorded data from other parts of the world would not be able to understand accurately what the units of measurements translated to in their system

    I'd say because the metric system is used worldwide. The USA uses SI units which is something fairly new as compared to how long the metric system has been used.
