    Answer: True

Gustation give a taste perception and olfactory is an insight of smell. In gustation, only four tastes were recognized, namely sweet, salty, sour, and bitter. However, research of the 20th century led to recognition of the fifth taste, umami that means delicious taste or savory.

Meanwhile, olfaction or the sense of smell is a responsive stimulus that contains bipolar sensory neurons that are located in a small region within the superior nasal cavity.

If this is a true or false question, the answer is true. Olfaction and gustation are called chemical senses as they are being stimulated by chemicals. The molecules then interact with the receptors in order to produce the generator potential (olfaction) or the receptor potential (gustation).
