What is the difference between movement and locomotion?

    Locomotion and movement are different in that movement is how you changed the place you are in (by moving one or more body parts).

    Simply put, locomotion is movement from one place to another

    Movement is the action of moving body parts to perform locomotion

    Locomotion involves shifting of the entire body parts and movement involves change in shape, size or direction of various body parts
