The two ways through which the temperature regulation is done for the football player are sweat glands and blood vessels. Sweat glands are thick part of skin that is dermis produce the sweat that would evaporate pulling out the heat from his body. Blood vessels are also part of dermis make the blood travel through the muscles and make thus making the skin warm. This warmness from the blood makes the sweat glands react and follow the procedure. So like this they prevent the body from overheating.
