    Earth even on its hottest day, which is so hard to tolerate is no where as hot as the hottest planet. Earth comes third in place when distance from the sun is calculated. If we see the place of all the planets in the solar system, we can see that Mercury is the closest to the sun. Even then it is not the hottest planet in the solar system. It is Venus, the planet after Mercury that is the hottest. Anywhere you go on Venus, the temperature is 462 degrees. This planet is some 30 million miles away from the sun.
