Pangea's existance was proven by the theory of continental drift, proposed by german meteorologist Alfred Wegener in 1912. The theory of continental drift proves that the earth is constantly moving, and that over millions of years, the continents broke apart from a single landmass called Pangea and moved to their current positions.
