How can water needs be met if the rate of infiltration is lower than the rate of pumping?

    Explanation:

    If the rate of infiltration is lower than that of rate of pumping then the water level will never reach the minimum threshold level as the rate of consumption is faster than the rate of replenishment.

    Thus, it would be better to not rely on underground water resources for meeting water demands but try to explore alternative resources as well such as rain water harvesting, surface water etc.
